Admission Policy

At Mercy Springs International School we believe in optimizing the early years of children’s lives through play and inquiry-based curriculum. We understand that children’s early learning experience deeply affect their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.

EARLY YEARS
MSIS early years caters for children aged 18 months – 5 years. Teaching takes place in small focused groups and places emphasis on setting children into a routine while introducing a rich and varied age-appropriate curriculum. Teachers are qualified and classroom assistance has a minimum requirement.

Play Group 1    –     18months – 2years

Play Group 2    –       2 – 3 years

Nursery 1      –         3 – 4 years

Nursery 2    –          4 – 5 years

PRIMARY
Pupils admitted to primary classes are between five and six years (5 – 6 years). The selection process depends largely on the performance of the child on the placement tests and other types of tests/interviews administered by the school. The admission form can be completed online. Parents are advised to fill out the admission forms correctly. Those who pass the test and interviews consequently get an offer of admission.

SECONDARY
The prospective candidate must have completed at least year 5 (or its equivalent) in a recognized primary school within or outside the country. The child must also be at least 10 years old by September of the year of admission. An admission form is obtained, after which a prospective student writes an entrance examination.
